NERAK Storage Conveyors are Vertical Storage Lifts designed to accumulate and convey items for intermediate or permanent storage within a conveyor system. They operate in a start – stop motion. The small pitch between the carrying shelves allows for maximum storage space.
Vertical Storage Conveyors are space saving solutions for intermediate storage. Little floor space is needed compared to horizontal accumulating conveyors and conveying level changes can be accomplished at the same time.
NERAK Vertical Storage Conveyors can convey up to 13 items per min. The actual possible capacity depends on the size of the item conveyed and the vertical distance to be traveled. Item loads can range from under 1lb to over 150lbs! The Vertical Lifts can be as high as 65 feet.
The small footprint compared to horizontal accumulating saves valuable floor space.

There are three different ways to design and operate Vertical Storage Conveyors:
First in - Last out Operation with one feed/discharge point: These Storage Lifts are loaded and unloaded at the same point, either at the bottom or at the top of the conveyor.
First in - First out Operation: These Storage Conveyors work either in up or down motion with the feed at the bottom and the discharge at the top of the Lift or vice versa. Random or Selective In and Out Operation: The NERAK intermittent motion vertical elevator loads items to be conveyed between any number of inlet and discharge points.
Carrying Shelves come in different styles to fit the need. We design the right Carrying Shelf for your product. All Carrying Shelves ensure smooth, stable and gentle transport. They are attached to two NERAK Rubber Chains.
The Carrying Shelves are made of bent sheet metal or welded steel profiles depending on the product to be carried.
NERAK Rubber Chains with high-tensile steel cable inside are the driving and transporting members without wear points that need lubrication or maintenance. The Operation is silent and clean. NERAK Vertical Conveyors have lower Power requirements and less need for servicing and maintenance compared than any conventional conveying system.
Feeding and Discharging of the product onto carrying shelves of the conveyor is normally done with horizontal pushers. Fixed Belt or Roller conveyors can also be used as feeding or discharge devices at the bottom of the conveyor. The upper and intermediate feeds/discharges can be equipped with retractable conveyors. The feeding and discharge operates automatically. Feed and Discharge Conveyors can be supplied by NERAK or the Customer.
Casings are available as Extruded Aluminum Profiles Frames, Welded and Painted Tubular Carbon Steel Frames, Welded Tubular Stainless Steel Frames and Welded Tubular Stainless Steel Frames for Food Applications for easy cleaning. Carbon Steel casings can be powder coated, or being painted with an Enamel or Epoxy Paint. Stainless Steel casings can be provided in different qualities, such as 403 and 316 and in a surface quality of your choice.
The cladding can be made of perforated Aluminum Sheets, Steel Sheets or Clear Plastic Sheets. They protect your conveyor, your product and ensure a safe work environment. Aluminum Sheets or Clear Plastic Sheets are perfect to monitor your conveyor at all time.
All NERAK Storage Conveyors are equipped with generously dimensioned servicing and monitoring openings and removable covers for servicing access.
Most NERAK Conveyors come ready assembled for convenient on site set up and time saving during installation.
Many Options are available for customer's choice, Zero/Under Speed Sensor, Level and Chain Monitoring Sensors, Current Limiters and Control Panels as well as different types of feed and discharge conveyors and other equipment.
