NERAK's continuous bucket conveyors transport powder and bulk material from one or multiple feed point(s) to one discharge point with high capacity on small footprint (click here for bucket conveyors with multiple discharges).
Without the need for intermediate transfers, they offer smooth and continuous travel from the feed to the point of discharge. NERAK's bucket conveyor design allows "Z" and "C" type conveyor layouts. Horizontal and vertical sections can be combined to create a conveyor path that meets even unique plant layouts (Case Study: Vertical Transport in Tight Quarters).
Conveying capacities of up to 105 ft3/min (180 m3/hr) are possible.
Application Examples:
Continuous bucket conveyors are designed to handle products, highly abrasive and impacting materials including:
Delicate foods
Chemicals
Recycled Glass
Sand
Gravel
Ores
Crushed rock
NERAK bucket conveyors are available in several sizes to both match your material flow requirements and minimize the space needed.
Standardized sections include:
Interconnected buckets ensure spill-free and gentle operation. Made with strong injection-molded, rigid fiberglass reinforced nylon with a heavy wall thickness and featuring flexible connecting flaps, they form a continuous bucket string without any gaps. Rods lock the flaps and buckets into place and connect the bucket belt to the Rubber Block Chains.
In addition, buckets can be made from carbon steel, plastic, aluminum, and stainless steel. Special designs are available for high temperature applications, conductivity, detectability and other reasons.
Feed openings can be placed anywhere on the horizontal or incline area of the conveyor. The length of the opening can be designed to your specifications. All feed openings have brush or flexible strip feed seals on all four sides to prevent spillage at the feed point.
NERAK continuous bucket conveyors are available in the typical 'Z' and 'C' configuration, as well as many configurations uniquely designed for your project requirements.
The discharge opening is at the end of the conveyor. A long discharge opening ensures the complete emptying of the buckets, keeping your conveyor clean.
Discharge assists such as thumpers and anti-static units are available for difficult-to-discharge or static-charged materials.
The casing of the standard bent sheet metal conveyor can be constructed for basic dust-tight as well as vacuum- or pressure-tight operation. The construction provides easy access for clean-out, servicing and monitoring openings (with doors), as well as customer-requested special design features.
For special purposes, open frame construction conveyors made from square tubing with OSHA guarding as required are available. Internal parts are easily accessible by removable panels.
Conveyors for dust explosion environments are designed using reinforced construction and, if required, can be designed to meet ATEX requirements.
Casings made of either 304 or 316 stainless steel in any requested surface finish can be constructed identically to the carbon steel construction.
